Growing up around hospitality with her mother owning a restaurant, Katlyn absorbed the industry from a young age. Her journey into entrepreneurship didn't follow a conventional path; art was her focus in high school, but her love for business and leadership came naturally as she worked and learned on the job 🍕
"A lot of it you pick up as you do it. I didn’t study any business in high school. I was an art student, so I didn’t do anything along these lines. I just learnt it from my own bosses and gaining experience."
Her aspirations are crystal clear: work hard, earn, invest, pay off the business, and own a house within five years. This drive led her unexpectedly to co-owning a Hell Pizza store, a proposition presented by her mentor, Chirag Thour, owner of Hell Palmerston North and Terrace End. While the leap to the Terrace End franchise meant bidding adieu to her former stomping ground, she's embraced the challenge and the familiar faces who've transitioned to the new venture. Even with her relentless work ethic, Katlyn knows the value of taking a break, as seen in her indulgent month-long holiday in Japan earlier this year 🇯🇵
